Hello everyone!

I’ve never really done an introduction post, so I'm not exactly sure how this works, but here goes! My name is Suzy, and I'm a freelance Social Media Manager, Sales & Marketing Specialist, Content Creator, blogger, serial entrepreneur, and part owner of CanMac Siding based in Burlington, ON (check us out on Instagram @canmac.siding.inc).

 

Creativity has always been my passion, and it led me to the exciting world of #SOCIALMEDIA. After experiencing a tough breakup, I focused on rebuilding my life for my four kids and me. Eight years ago, I relocated from Brampton to Durham Region (specifically, North Oshawa) and landed a life-changing job at an Optical store in Whitby. I took over their social media account, and it was a hit! Merging my love for creative design and optics turned out to be amazing.

In December 2018, I opened my own Optical store in Mississauga with a business partner (which, looking back, had its ups and downs—definitely check out the Do's & Don’ts of starting a small business!). I was 100% committed and excited to succeed. Managing my own social media without waiting for boss approval was fun times! However, like many new businesses, we faced challenges. The COVID-19 lockdown hit us hard, and despite my efforts to save the business, it ultimately closed its doors. It was a tough lesson, but one that has made me stronger.

In 2021, my business partner and I purchased CanMac Siding. I grew up in the industry being, gaining hands-on experience working for my father's company, installing siding, soffit, and eavestroughs. So, being presented with the opportunity to co-own CanMac Siding was truly a dream come true. I proudly lead the sales & marketing and content department, and we've been blessed with many successful opportunities to collaborate with world-renowned builders, bringing their exterior dreams to life.

 

I am always actively seeking to expand my client base and explore new opportunities that allow me to showcase my creativity. I feel more inspired than ever and am eager to unleash my innovative ideas in the world of content creation!
